Who we are
CompanySec is provided by Clear Hub AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 11820654), registered office Suite 2, Parkway 5, Parkway Business Centre, 300 Princess Road, Manchester M14 7HR. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@companysec.co.uk.
If you request early access
We collect your name, practice name, work email, roughly how many companies you look after, and any note you add. We use these only to contact you about joining CompanySec. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked us to get in touch.
We keep these details until you join or for 12 months, whichever comes first, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
If your practice uses CompanySec
Accountancy practices use CompanySec to keep company records and file with Companies House on behalf of their clients. For that information, including details of directors, shareholders and people with significant control, the practice is the controller and we act as its processor under a data processing agreement. We process it only to provide the service the practice has asked for.
- Companies House authentication codes and Personal Codes are stored encrypted.
- Data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom.
- Filings are sent to Companies House only when the practice submits them.
What we never do
- We never sell personal data.
- We never use it for marketing or share it with any other business, including other Clear businesses.
Who else handles data for us
We use a small number of service providers to run CompanySec: cloud hosting (Vercel), the database (Neon), and, once enabled, an email delivery service. Each processes data only on our instructions.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@companysec.co.uk. If you’re a client of a practice that uses CompanySec, contact your practice first; we’ll help them respond.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
